Required: SSH client software
You will need to use an SSH client to log in to the cluster. Software is available from the Duke Software website (https://software.duke.edu), and NetID authentication is required. Duke has a license for F-Secure SSH, though the institution has decided not to update the licensed F-Secure software, since free SSH clients are otherwise available. In the case of Mac OS, SSH is built in (“Terminal”), as it is with Linux distributions.
Duke site-licensed SSH software is searchable on the website (NetID authentication required).
Connection to the cluster “slogin” nodes is not possible with a web browser.
Connecting from on-campus (University or DUHS networks )
Open your SSH client and enter (use your NetID instead of “netid” below):
Connecting from off campus
First connect to the Duke VPN, and then ssh to DCC login servers, as above. Or, you can login in via SSH client and use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
